KURRAJONG HOUSE

Digital Room Key & Support

Welcome to a seamless stay. We are pleased to offer digital room keys via Apple Wallet and Google Wallet, allowing you to access your room and hotel spaces securely using just your phone or watch.

Locked out or having trouble?

If your digital key isn't responding:

  • Ensure Bluetooth is turned ON.
  • Hold your device within 2cm of the black reader.
  • If using an iPhone, try toggling Airplane mode on and off.

Still stuck? Physical key cards are always available.

Getting Started

A digital key allows you to store your room key securely in your Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. It works just like a contactless payment—simply hold your phone or compatible smartwatch near the door reader to unlock. It is secure, hygienic, and reduces the risk of demagnetised cards.

You can set up your key as soon as your online check-in is complete. Keep an eye out for our pre-arrival email or SMS, which will contain a link to "Add to Wallet." We recommend doing this before you travel so your key is ready the moment you arrive at Kurrajong Hotel.

Apple Wallet (iPhone & Apple Watch)

Once you have added the key to your Wallet via our [INSERT APP NAME OR LINK], it activates automatically when your room is assigned. To unlock a door, simply hold your iPhone or Apple Watch near the lock reader. You do not need to open an app.

Your digital key provides access to your guest room, [the night entrance], [the elevator], and [the gym]. Access permissions update automatically based on your reservation.

No. With Express Mode (enabled by default), you do not need to wake or unlock your device, nor do you need to use FaceID or TouchID every time. Just tap and enter.

Apple’s Power Reserve feature allows you to use your room key for up to 5 hours after your iPhone needs charging (available on iPhone XS and newer). If your device is completely unresponsive, our Front Desk can issue a physical key card immediately.

Yes. You can have the key active on up to [INSERT #] iPhone and [INSERT #] Apple Watch, provided both are signed into the same iCloud account.

Absolutely. Your key is stored locally on your device's secure element. Apple does not track which doors you open or when you access the hotel. If your device is lost, use iCloud to suspend your keys immediately.

Google Wallet (Android)

You can use a digital room key on any Android phone running Android 9.0 or higher with NFC turned on. We recommend ensuring you have the latest version of the Google Wallet app installed.

If your device is lost or stolen, please use Google's "Find My Device" feature to lock it or erase data remotely. Contact our Front Desk immediately so we can deactivate the digital key from our system and issue you a physical card.

General Access & Troubleshooting

Please check that your operating system is up to date, you have a passcode/biometrics set on your phone, and you are signed into your iCloud or Google account. If the "Add to Wallet" button does not appear, simply stop by the Front Desk upon arrival, and we will assist you.

Of course. We understand that technology isn't for everyone (or every moment). You can use both your digital wallet key and a physical key card simultaneously throughout your stay.

If you have booked multiple rooms, your digital key will be granted access to all assigned rooms under your name. If you have separate stays with different dates, a new key will activate for the specific dates of each stay.
